Puerto Rico Historic Building Drawing Society (PRHBDS)
The Puerto Rico Historic Building Drawing Society (PRHBDS) is a non-for-profit organization established in 2011 with the objective to compile a register of drawings and photographs documenting buildings of historic value in Puerto Rico. Its mission focuses as well, in disseminating the architectural heritage of Puerto Rico at a global level and educating broad audiences on the importance of historic preservation. The PRHBDS intends to help people understand how the urban landscapes developed at the same time as it encourages research about historic resources and the preservation of Puerto Rico’s built heritage.

It manages as well, a Facebook page with more than 300,000 followers where they share their research findings, documentation projects, and digital reproductions of historic properties. They also organize guided tours of Old San Juan and other urban spaces.
The PRHBDS has been awarded the Urbe Prize for architectural excellence and novel practices in built environments and the Dr. Ricardo Alegría Architectural Medal given by the Colegio de Arquitectos y Architectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico.
